As spring arrives across the Pacific Northwest, many residents feel the annual urge to open their windows, clear out the dust, and restore order to their living spaces. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming move, assisting a family member with downsizing, or simply seeking a more streamlined home environment, now is an ideal time to reassess what truly belongs in your space.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the average American household contains more than 300,000 individual items. An estimated $4,500 worth of unused goods sits idle in each household. Each year, more than 12 million tons of reusable items end up in U.S. landfills With this in mind, spring cleaning offers not only an opportunity to tidy up but also a chance to significantly reduce excess belongings in a meaningful way.
As part of our Spring Free Pickup Promotion, gone.com offers no-cost pickup of your gently used furniture and home goods, making it easier to take the first step toward a refreshed home.
Let Go of What No Longer Serves You
Clutter can impact more than just physical space, it clouds your mind, increasing stress and reducing your ability to focus. Spring cleaning is not just about deep-cleaning or reorganization. It involves asking critical questions such as: Do I still need this dresser I haven’t used in years? or Why am I still holding on to this outdated bike?
We assist residents throughout Seattle and the Eastside in responsibly parting with gently used items that still hold value. Our team coordinates free pickup for furniture and household goods that are in clean, functional condition, and suitable for resale or reuse.
Clear your space. Clear your mind. Let it be Gone!
Reduce Costs While Supporting a Circular Economy
In Seattle, standard junk removal services can start between $300 - $500 for a small load, and most of it ends up in a landfill. We offer a better way to start: by helping you declutter and remove gently used items you no longer need, you can simplify your space, reduce stress, and stay organized—before tackling the rest.
By leveraging a circular economy model, we aim to extend the lifespan of usable items, minimize waste, and make the decluttering process more cost-effective for our community.
What We Accept and What We Cannot
We strive to keep the process simple.
Decluttering your home can be a major relief but figuring out what to do with all the items you no longer use is often the hardest part. Gone.com offers a streamlined solution by helping you remove gently used items first, simplifying the entire process of getting organized.
Gone.com accepts a wide range of household goods, making it easy to clear out space without sending everything straight to a junk hauler. We take furniture like sofas, chairs, and tables, along with home décor such as lamps, rugs, and artwork. Electronics are welcome too, including TVs, gaming consoles, computers, tablets, and smart devices. If your kitchen cabinets are overflowing, we’ll also take housewares and small appliances. Even sports gear, tools, and garden equipment can be picked up, as long as they’re in good condition and reusable. Our team collects gently used, complete items like something you might give to a friend.
However, we are unable to accept items that are broken, heavily worn, have been soiled by pets, or no longer usable. If an item isn’t in a condition you’d feel comfortable giving to a friend, it likely doesn’t meet our criteria. When in doubt, simply upload a photo through our pickup request form, and we will quickly confirm whether the item qualifies.
